Hall of Fame Board Composition
Three working groups, Organization, Selection, and Fund Raising, will compose the District Hall of Fame structure.
HOF Board Organization
Structure:
- The HOF Board will consist of not more than nine people.
- To be eligible to serve on this board, the individual must be at least 25 years old.
- Each must be a current resident of the School District of Osceola for at least 5 years.
- Selection to the Board is by invitation of the HOF Board.
- Administrative roles will be HOF Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer.
Goals:
- To establish a board whose members will be entrusted with receiving nominations and determining which of the nominees are worthy of induction
- To establish a means by which a wide range of nominations may be submitted
- To create public recognition of the recipients with an award and induction into the HOF
- To develop a permanent HOF display of HOF inductees at Osceola High School
- To create a scholarship fund for OHS students
Duties:
- The group will put in place HOF nomination forms for these categories: Extra Curricular, Service, Achievement
- The group will have designated places including Osceola School District Offices and a Hall of Fame website for nomination forms for people who wish to nominate alumni
- The group shall determine the time and the conditions of the final selection to the Hall of Fame and other designated events.
- The group will establish a website for nomination information and for honoree scripts
- The group will have an Inductee Award/Congratulations notification form.
