One of the four pillars of the School District of Osceola’s Strategic Plan is Health and Safety for all students and staff. We know that bullying, in any form, can profoundly affect a child’s well-being, learning, and sense of belonging. That’s why we are committed to creating a school environment where kindness and respect are modeled, and students know they are not alone.
Our approach to bullying prevention is proactive, compassionate, and action-oriented.
We work hard to:
- Prevent bullying through education, school-wide expectations, and positive relationships
- Teach students how to recognize, report, and respond to bullying
- Intervene quickly and thoughtfully when concerns are raised
- Support those affected with care and accountability. The School District of Osceola’s policy on bullying is outlined in Board Policy 5517.01.
If you believe that a student has experienced bullying, please report it to a building principal or any other school district employee. Reports may be made verbally or by completing a Reporting Form.
Parents and caregivers are essential partners in preventing and responding to bullying. To learn more, visit the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ website: stopbullying.gov.
Together, we can foster a culture of dignity and connection where every child knows they belong. If you ever have a concern, a question, or need support, please reach out to your child’s teacher or building principal.
We’re here. And we’re listening.
