The health and well-being of our students and staff is a top priority. The following illness protocols help us maintain a healthy and safe enviroment for everyone in our school community. Your child should stay home when they have;

- Vomitting or diarrhea (2 or more unexplained episodes of watery or loose stool in 24hr periord). Students and staff may return to school/work 24 hours after last episode or vomitting or diarrhea.
- A cough that is serious and sustained. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.
- Strep throat. Students need to have completed 24 hours of antibiotic treatment and their fever must be resolved before returning to school.
- A rash that is accompained by a fever. Students may return to school after the rash goes away or clearance is given by a health care provider.
- Drainage from a sore that cannot be contained within a bandage or sores are increasing in size or new ones are developing. Please seek guidance from your health care provider.
- Symptoms that prevent the student from active participation in usual school activities.
Please notify the school's attendance service when your child is staying home ill. If your child has a contagious condition such as influenza, RSV, strep throat, or whopping cough, please include this information in your attendance report.
